I just recently started staying at this location and I have to say I am very impressed with the service and the rooms. The beds are very comfortable. This last stay when I checked in I prefer to have a room on the back side but they were not available. The desk clerked offered to change my room the next day. I appreciated that gesture. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that is traveling through Pierre. Management is also very friendly and very accommodating.
I am not sure people are complaining. Our stay was great. The front desk staff was super friendly. There was plenty of parking. The hotel had a pool and hot tub for kiddos (or adults). Our room was clean, had working AC/heat, extra pillows were already in the room, brand new sofa and recliner, and the bed was comfy. There was also a half size fridge and freezer in the room! The breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast with a lot of choices - hot and cold. The only issue we had was that there was no travel size conditioner bottle for showers. Other than that, we had a great stay. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips.
Comfortable, clean room. Room was very spacious. Not only were there two queen beds, there was a twin size daybed in the room. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast area could be attended/ cleaned up a little better. The pancake batter dispenser was not serving a mix that was mixed (It was very watery), some of the juice options needed to be refilled, and there were some flies around.
Very clean, quiet, and comfortable room. I had a door to the hallway and another directly to my car. Very convenient. The breakfast area had a great selection of clold and hot food. This area was very clean also. The price is well below the Ramkota. The was very friendly and helpful. Definitely check this place out for your stay in the Pierre SD area.
We had an excellent experience at the Governor's Inn. The check-in was quick & easy - Tyson was a wonderful first contact host. Tyson went out of his way to make sure we had the perfect room. Our room was well appointed - very clean and comfortable. We have many relative from all over the US staying here this weekend for a family reunion. Everyone is so pleased with our accommodations. We will definitely stay here again - try it - you'll like it!

If you are visiting Pierre, this is the hotel where you want to stay! I was apprehensive at first as the hotel is a little bit dated, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms are incredibly clean and well-maintained. I was here for a week and there was daily turn down service , not just every few days. is a nice continental breakfast every morning, but most of all the staff has been amazing.
If you are in Pierre, this is convient, clean and reasonable. It is not an upscale hotel, but was peaceful
